HVAC Lead Installer Position Overview: 

Dana’s Heating is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to take ownership of full-system installations from start to finish. As a Lead Installer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality residential HVAC installations while leading and developing apprentices on your team. 

This role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll work on a wide range of systems, including gas and oil furnaces, ductless mini splits, and high-efficiency variable-speed heat pump systems.

HVAC Lead Installer Key Responsibilities:

• Review daily job details and installation plans before heading to the job site.
• Assemble required equipment, materials, and tools; load and organize the service vehicle.
• Perform complete HVAC system installations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
• Install ductwork, sheet metal transitions, refrigeration line sets, and related components.
• Ensure proper airflow, system performance, and clean workmanship
• Communicate professionally with customers and respect their homes and property.
• Train, mentor, and support apprentices to encourage skill development and career growth.
• Return to the shop at the end of the day to clean, restock, and prepare the truck for the next job.

HVAC Lead Installer Job Requirements:

• Proven experience performing all facets of residential HVAC system installation.
• Ownership of basic HVAC installation tools.
• Working knowledge of ductwork design and airflow principles.
• Ability to fabricate and install sheet metal transitions.
• Experience running refrigeration line sets.
• EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and controls.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Washington State 06A or 06B Low-Voltage Electrical License
• NATE Certification
• Experience with modern HVAC technology, including mini splits and variable-speed systems

As a family-owned and operated HVAC contractor specializing in add-on and replacement systems, we invest heavily in training. Apprentices receive both in-house and third-party education, with clear expectations for ongoing skill development and progressive improvement.

You’ll assist with installing a wide range of systems, including gas and oil furnaces, mini split heat pumps, and high-efficiency variable-speed heat pump systems.

HVAC Install Apprentice Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily job briefings led by the Lead Installer.

You’ll work on a variety of systems, including gas and oil furnaces, ductless mini splits, and high-efficiency variable-speed heat pump systems. This position is an ideal stepping stone for technicians who want to grow into full-service roles through hands-on experience and ongoing training.

HVAC Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on residential HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before they become costly repairs.
• Recommend proactive repairs when they provide clear value to the customer.
• Suggest system enhancements to improve comfort, efficiency, or reliability.
• Suggest the Ultimate Savings Agreement when appropriate to help the customer stay on top of their equipment maintenance schedule and enjoy plan benefits. 
• Identify when system replacement may be the best long-term solution for the customer.
• Document findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
• Communicate respectfully with homeowners and treat their property with care.
• Attend required training and demonstrate consistent technical and professional improvement.
• Work toward advancement into a Service Technician role.
